This Privacy Policy explains how Unravl ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use Unravl ("the Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988.

  • Account information: Your name and email address when you sign in via Google or email magic link
  • Audio recordings: Voice recordings you submit for processing. These are sent to OpenAI for transcription and are not stored by us after processing.
  • Structured data: The tasks, events, notes, and grocery lists generated from your recordings, stored in our database
  • Usage data: Daily usage counts to enforce plan limits
  • Payment information: Managed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service
  • Process your voice recordings into structured data
  • Manage your account and subscription
  • Enforce usage limits and prevent abuse
  • Communicate with you about your account or changes to the Service

Your structured data (tasks, events, notes, groceries) is retained for as long as your account is active. Audio recordings are not stored — they are processed in real time and discarded. When you delete your account, all associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Export your data (available to Pro and Business subscribers via CSV export)
  • Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC)

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. These cookies are necessary for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
